Antique Home had uncomfortable rooms
This awesome antique home was built before the invention of air conditioning. When air conditioning was added in the 50’s the system was designed with extremely long duct runs that ran from the first floor all the way to the third-floor attic and back down to the front rooms of the house. There was no other practical way to run the ducts so understandably these rooms were never comfortable. In 2018 Mitsubishi invented the unique EZ-Fit Ceiling Cassette solution.

The Design
Two Mitsubishi ceiling cassettes were installed on the 1st and 2nd Floor of the antique house , flush to the ceiling, with refrigerant lines running above the Sheetrock and outside to the outdoor condensers. A 2 into 1 multi-zone outdoor unit with a 2-ton capacity was placed on a heavy-duty mounting pad on the southwest side of the house. Contact us for more details.
The Benefits
The MLZ-Series Ceiling Cassette is a product that is exclusive to Mitsubishi. It is unique in that it will fit between standard 16” centered ceiling jousts. It is only 7-3/8” deep. It has integral access panels and requires no access from above, which also allows it to be installed below floors. It also has a built-in Mitsubishi condensate pump that is silent and reliable.
