The Design
The Home owner contacted Benchmark service about the feasibility of placing a Mitsubishi ductless heating and cooling system in his garage. During a site visit, it was determined that the Mitsubishi GL-24 heating and cooling system, which is one of our mini split models, would be the ideal solution.
The Installation
The ductless indoor mini split unit was installed high on the west interior wall, centered, to optimize airflow throughout the space. Refrigerant lines were routed through inconspicuous line set covers and through the exterior wall of the room down to the Mitsubishi outdoor unit which was suspended off the ground onto a heavy-duty mounting bracket on the west-side of the home. This configuration allows unobstructed access under the machine for lawn care.
The Benefits
This garage and its occupants are now able to work productively and comfortably year-round.
