The Problem:

A custom woodshop was unusable for a large portion of the year due to extreme Texas temperatures.

The Solution:

Design and install a 2-ton Mitsubishi Inverter Heat Pump mini split system in the wood shop.

The Design

The indoor mini split HVAC unit was hung high and out of the way to provide the best function and aesthetics. A car port on the exterior wall prevented the Benchmark team from passing refrigerant lines outside in a line set cover. Instead, the lines were run down the interior wall, inside a line set cover, passed through the wall close to the ground and directly into the back of the outdoor unit. The outdoor unit was placed on a heavy duty concrete pad underneath the car port.
